Peter Grundberg

Co-Founder & Director

Brody Land

Educated at Latymer Upper School (London) and Corpus Christi College (Cambridge), Peter is an Anglo-Swedish corporate lawyer who trained in London and Brussels before joining Wilmer Cutler and Pickering LLP’s private equity team in London and Washington DC. After five years’ practice, Peter teamed up with William Clothier to invest in Budapest residential property in 2004. They established two property investment funds (2006, 2008) before changing tack and establishing Brody House (a boutique arts and social hotel) in 2009. They expanded their innovative hospitality format to include Brody Studios, Paulay House, The Writer’s Villa, 2,500 members and 17 international affiliate clubs. As well as legal and commercial savvy, creative marketing banter, Peter speaks native Swedish, decent French, pen pal Italian and preschool Hungarian. Before diving into fatherhood (2014), he could ski pretty well and knock a golf and polo ball around. Now a man of books and culture, he leads BrodyLand’s continued expansion with Will, and spends much of his time being a host, all-round impressario and unofficial Budapest ambassador.
